Roadworks Roosendaal 2025
Several roadworks are taking place in and around Roosendaal 2025 to renew the asphalt. The first works will start on Wednesday evening, 13 August. Please note that the journey time to and/or from Otium Hotel and Wellness Resort Vitae may be longer.
What is being done?
The tarmac on the Burgemeester Freijterslaan and the Wouwbaan will be renewed. The traffic lights on these roads will also be replaced at the junctions with the A17 motorway. Smarter traffic light planning will soon ensure a better and smoother flow of traffic. The combination of asphalt maintenance and traffic light replacement means that the road will only have to be closed once.
Work schedule
Phase 1: 13 August - 19 September 2025
The work will begin on Wednesday evening, 13 August, at 9 pm. During this phase, the pavement and traffic lights on Burgemeester Freijterslaan, Wouwbaan and the De Stok junction will be replaced.
Phase 2: 26 September - 31 October 2025
The work will be carried out at the Burgemeester Freijterslaan junction, the slip roads from the A17 on the east side and the last section of the Burgemeester Freijterslaan near the Shell petrol station.
Accessibility and diversions
Parts of the road will be completely closed during the construction work. Designer Outlet Roosendaal and De Stok (where the hotel is located) will remain accessible via diversion routes. From Roosendaal, both locations will always be accessible via the motorway. To ensure a safe flow of traffic, diversion routes will be set up and traffic controllers will be present.
TIP: Follow the signs with a '2' to get to the hotel.

Coming from the A17 motorway (direction Rotterdam/Dordrecht)? The Roosendaal-West exit will be open. Please note: the exit lane is shorter; you will have to use the hard shoulder for a short distance.

Coming from the A58 motorway? Take the Borchwerf exit, join the A17 and then take the Roosendaal-West exit.
